If you’re travelling with Ryanair on an upcoming flight, here’s everything you need to know about your Ryanair baggage allowance, restrictions, fees and charges.
Ryanair’s Cabin Baggage allowance depends on the fare type that you have purchased.
Non-Priority customers are permitted to only take one small personal bag onboard, which must not exceed 40 x 20 x 25cm, and must fit under the seat in front.
Priority customers are permitted to take one small personal bag onboard, which must not exceed 40 x 20 x 25cm, and must fit under the seat in front. Additionally, a larger cabin bag is permitted which must not exceed 55 x 40 x 20cm, with a maximum weight of 10KG.
Duty-Free bags are permitted in the cabin along with your Hand Baggage.
It’s more cost effective to add any additional bags at the time of booking. You can however add additional bags to your booking later via Ryanair’s website or app, or at the airport, for an additional fee. Cabin bags will also be placed into a sizer at the airport to ensure they are the correct dimensions.
Please note: there is currently conflicting information regarding being able to take Trunki hand luggage on as cabin baggage. We recommend to contact Ryanair directly regarding this.

Checked bags are charged per person, per one way flight and prices vary depending on the route and travel dates. Higher baggage fees of €40 per person/per one way flight apply when checked bags are purchased after the initial booking. Higher baggage fees also apply when checked bags are purchased via a Ryanair call centre, at airport ticket desks, during peak periods and on selected routes.
