Important: To clear personal belongings in Japan with customs relief, the receiver must be in Japan for the clearance process.

Once you complete your customs forms, My Baggage will generate an Unaccompanied Baggage Declaration, which you can download from your My Orders or by contacting us. Please print two copies. When you arrive in Japan, bring both copies to Japanese customs at the airport along with your passport, and ask for the forms to be stamped. Customs will keep one copy.

Your shipment cannot be cleared or delivered until after your arrival, and until the stamped form has been provided to My Baggage or our courier. Please note that additional storage fees may apply while clearance is pending.

Customs values should not exceed 900 EUR on this route. If you declare a value about this, additional customs restrictions will apply that could result in a delay to your shipment. Additional forms may be requested by German Customs before the shipment can be exported.

You can send golf bags on our services. They need to be packaged in a suitable golf bag with a hood or in a travel case or box. We recommend using bubble wrap over the heads of each club. If your item is over 120cm, which most golf bags are, there will be an additional £80 charge to send the item.

Bicycles

You can send a bicycle on our services. Bicycles need to be packaged in a suitable box or in a travel case. We recommend taking your bike to a cycle shop where they can disassemble it and package it for you. Most bikes will need the wheels and handlebars removed to send.
